How long does it take?
The length of time it takes to become a dental assistant varies depending on the school, but our course is eight weeks long. By the end of the course, you will be fully prepared to begin your dental assisting career.

What does a dental assistant do?
Dental assistants work alongside the dentist during various dental procedures. The job of the dental assistant is to prepare the patient for treatment, set up the operatory, assist the dentist during the procedure, and break down/disinfect the operatory. In addition, dental assistants are trained to take x-rays, take molds and impressions, perform sterilization duties, as well as administrative duties in the front of the office.
Do you accept financial aid?
We do not accept financial aid. We offer a payment plan that allows you to split your payment into ten weekly payments.

What will I need for the course?
You will need to wear scrubs to every session and you will need to purchase this textbook. All other materials will be supplied to you, including all PPE (gloves, masks, safety glasses). Included in your tuition, you will receive CPR training and certification. You should have your hepatitis B series vaccine completed or initiated before the start of classes.
What is the typical salary?
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average annual wage of a dental assistant ranges from $34,470 to $49,810. In Texas, the average annual wage is $39,680. The BLS predicts a job growth among dental assistants of 11% between 2018 and 2028.
